Job summary

CAIRO in Minnesota is seeking a Development Coordinator to advance fundraising, partnership development, and community engagement during a period of organizational growth. The role works with the Executive Director, program leaders, and donor relations consultants to translate CAIRO’s impact into meaningful partnerships and sustainable funding opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in fundraising, partnership development, nonprofit advancement, communications, or event coordination.
• Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends for events.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, foundations, and community stakeholders.
• Identify and develop new partnership opportunities that expand CAIRO’s programs and community impact.
• Collaborate with program supervisors to strengthen program-based partnerships and external collaborations.
• Represent CAIRO at community meetings, networking events, and public engagements to elevate organizational visibility.
• Support growth of individual giving, corporate sponsorships, and philanthropic engagement opportunities.
• Coordinate regular communication between donors, Board members, and organizational leadership.
• Maintain accurate donor and partnership records within CAIRO’s CRM system.
• Ensure timely donor stewardship, acknowledgements, and relationship follow-up.
