Job summary

K2D Strategies is seeking an Account Director in Arlington, VA, to lead strategy and oversee execution of client fundraising programs. You will manage a team, nurture client relationships, and coordinate external partners to deliver strong results within budgets.

The role requires deep knowledge of direct response fundraising, multi-channel campaign management, and translating objectives into actionable plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years direct response experience in an agency setting.
• Proven client management and customer service.
• Ability to build lasting client relationships.
• Experience managing technical and client services teams including remote work.
• Experience in creating and driving long-term fundraising strategies.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Proven project management and organizational and problem solving skills.
• Advanced written and oral communication; present to non-technical audiences.
• Strong attention to detail and highly self-motivated.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with CRMs and CMS systems; email marketing; HTML/CSS; SEO/SEM.

Responsibilities

• Develop fundraising and engagement strategy and a plan for executing integrated strategies.
• Build and manage client relationships through regular meetings and ongoing communications.
• Lead live meetings; create meeting materials with account teams.
• Work with clients to determine objectives and create strategies to reach goals.
• Develop clients’ annual communication calendars and budgets.
• Understand client processes and generate ideas to enhance performance.
• Provide in-depth analysis of campaign and KPI data; develop data-driven strategies.
• Foster collaboration among teams and outside resources for strong teamwork.
• Ensure fundraising best practices are kept top-of-mind.
• Provide risk assessment and management on client relationships.
• Manage a matrixed team to ensure on-time, quality deliverables.
• Develop professional goals and development plans for team members.
• Train teammates using real work experiences; identify growth opportunities.
• Balance strategic and tactical plans with contract deliverables.
• Manage client scope and ad hoc billing within retainer.
• Participate in webinars and conferences to expand skills.
• Support new business input and proposals; participate in hiring.
• Attend monthly management meetings; perform other duties as assigned.
