Job summary

Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County is seeking a Communications Specialist to advance our mission through donor-centric storytelling across print, digital, and multimedia platforms.

You will work with Marketing, PER, and executives to develop persuasive fundraising appeals, maintain brand voice, and ensure messages reflect Jewish values. This role requires strong writing, editing, and project management in a nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-7 years writing sales/marketing copy for an advertising agency, non-profit or in a corporate setting.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Outstanding written and oral communications skills; editing and proofreading a must.
• Ability to blend technical writing with a familial, conversational tone, voice, and personality.
• Ability to thrive in a highly matrixed, fast-paced, team-oriented work environment.
• Strong knowledge of AP writing-style.
• Familiarity with website CMS and email deployment platform.
• Ability to infuse Jewish culture, values, traditions, and history into work.

Responsibilities

• Research, fact check, write, copy edit, and proofread written communications for programs and events.
• Develop compelling fundraising appeals and donor stewardship communications across multiple channels.
• Create audience-focused content reflecting organization personality using impact data and donor stories.
• Collaborate with Marketing, PER, and leadership to align messaging with audience goals.
• Ensure consistent branding and voice across materials and platforms.
• Support a digital-first marketing strategy with platform optimization and analytics.
