Job summary

Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County seeks a Communications Specialist to advance our mission through donor-centric storytelling across print, digital, and multimedia platforms.

You will work with Marketing, PER, and executives to craft messaging that supports fundraising priorities, events, and impact reporting, while maintaining brand standards and leveraging data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years writing sales/marketing copy for agencies, nonprofit, or corporate settings.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Outstanding written and oral communications; editing and proofreading essential.
• Blend technical writing with a warm, conversational tone for diverse audiences.
• Thrive in a matrixed, fast-paced, team-driven environment with deadlines.
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities and fast-paced culture.
• Think strategically, solve problems, and exercise good judgment.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Solid MS Office knowledge and familiarity with project management tools.
• In-depth knowledge of AP writing style.
• Comfort with organization software, databases, and email deployment platforms.
• Desire to contribute to a growing nonprofit and infuse Jewish culture into work.

Responsibilities

• Research, write, edit, and proofread communications for programs/events and outreach collateral.
• Develop fundraising appeals and donor stewardship communications across channels.
• Create audience-focused messaging reflecting impact data, programs, and partners.
• Collaborate with Marketing, PER, and leadership to align messaging with goals.
• Ensure branding and visual identity consistency across materials.
• Leverage approved content and adapt tone for freshness and relevance.
• Support SOPs, project management, and timely delivery of campaigns.
