The Fortune Society seeks a Chief Development & Communications Officer to lead all fundraising and communications efforts. You will sit on the executive team and drive strategies for government contracts, private philanthropy, major gifts, corporate support, and fundraising events.

You will supervise and mentor a 10-member team, oversee donor relations, branding, media outreach, and stakeholder engagement, while coordinating closely with board leadership and executives.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Seven to ten years of senior management and fundraising experience in a large organization.
• Experience developing and implementing strategies for cultivation and solicitation of institutional and individual funders, including government contracts and major gifts.

Responsabilidades

• Establish strategic annual fundraising plan for major areas (government, private funds, major donor cultivation).
• Oversee daily fundraising and communications staff to meet goals.
• Develop reporting tools to monitor fundraising and communications activities.
• Serve as liaison to the Board’s Development & Communications Committee and cultivate relationships with donors for events.
• Develop major giving strategy to increase donor engagement and funds raised.
• Supervise Grant Writing team to maximize funding from government RFPs and private foundations.
• Oversee annual strategic communications plan including social media, media relations, and publications.
• Collaborate with lobbyists to advocate for increased appropriations and fundraise opportunities.
• Initiate partnerships with nonprofits, government, foundations and corporations to raise Fortune’s visibility.
• Oversee donor research and maintain donor relationships using CRM tools.
• Provide executive leadership for fundraising and communications across the organization.
• Other duties as needed.
