Job summary

The Mental Wellness Center in Santa Barbara seeks a Director of Development & Communications to lead fundraising, donor engagement, and external communications. You will shape strategy, build relationships with donors and partners, and oversee campaigns, grants, and events.

As a member of the leadership team, you will drive annual giving, steward donors, and craft compelling stories about MWC’s impact, programs, and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of progressively responsible nonprofit fundraising experience.
• Strong donor stewardship, annual giving, sponsorships, and campaigns.
• Leadership and relationship-building with boards, donors, and partners.
• Excellent storytelling and communications skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop fundraising strategy in partnership with leadership.
• Lead annual giving campaigns and special initiatives.
• Oversee donor communications, events, and stewardship.
• Manage DonorPerfect records and ensure compliance.
• Prepare reports for CEO and Board with dashboards.
