Job summary

Coda Search is recruiting for a global asset management firm in Stamford, CT, seeking a Fund Controller to oversee a portfolio of funds and deliver monthly financial reporting, NAV packages, and investor statements.

The role involves managing fund cash flows, coordinating with administrators, supporting audits, and partnering with the investment team on performance analysis and fundraising activity. Prior hedge fund or PE experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Big 4 accounting experience is a huge plus.
• Prior hedge fund, asset management, or private equity experience.
• Strong system and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and review of financial statements and investor reporting.
• Develop and maintain financial models to forecast fund performance.
• Collaborate with investment team to evaluate acquisitions.
• Prepare investor presentations and meetings.
• Manage fund cash flow: capital calls, distributions, liquidity.
• Oversee fund accounts, bank relationships, treasury operations.
• Ensure proper capital allocation and efficient resource use.
• Provide financial analysis to guide investment strategy and fund operations.
• Review 3rd-party administrator and reconcile discrepancies.
• Lead annual audit and coordinate with external auditors.
