Job summary

Coda Search│Staffing is assisting a well-known NYC-based PE fund in hiring a Senior Fund Finance Associate. The role focuses on client reporting, financial analysis, independent valuation, and capital analysis with fund performance reporting.

Ideal candidates will review and prepare financials, investment performance reports, and present findings to the Management Committee; CPA or CPA-in-progress is highly preferred. Excellent Excel and portfolio accounting software skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of accounting/audit/tax experience.
• CPA or CPA in progress highly preferred.
• Prior experience with Tax Accounting/Reporting required.
• Outstanding communication skills; able to work with Management.
• Advanced Excel and Portfolio Accounting Software strongly preferred.
• Capable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist valuations and capital analytics, including risk analyses and performance attribution.
• Analyze financial statements to isolate troubled assets and develop remediation protocols.
• Calculate capital calls and distributions as requested by the general partner.
• Prepare and post journal entries; compile monthly trial balance, balance sheet, income statement and cash flow.
• Prepare cash/position reconciliations; record accruals and capital allocations; handle investor correspondence.
• Collaborate with CFO/Controller on firm reporting and intercompany reconciliation.
• Open new investor accounts and ensure compliance with fund docs, AML rules, regulations and policies.
