Coda Search is partnering with a private equity group in New York, recruiting an Assistant Controller to oversee a portfolio of funds and supervise quarterly financials, month-end close, and support for the 3rd party administrator.

The role involves leading audits, ensuring valuation compliance, cash flow forecasting, and collaborating with the investment team to drive reporting automation and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience, ideally within PE.
• Public accounting background and CPA would be a plus.
• Experience in process improvement and building efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for funds and investments.
• Review 3rd party administrator reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare deal closings and assist with cash flow forecasting and distributions.
• Manage portfolio valuation processes and fair value adjustments.
• Lead the annual audit with external auditors to meet reporting standards.
• Partner with investment teams to provide deal support.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to improve processes and reporting automation.
• Analyze fund performance metrics and advise on business strategy.
