Job summary

Nexus Circular is seeking a Project Development Manager/Lead to convert business opportunities into feasible capital projects from idea through FEL1. This working management role focuses on project definition and business alignment, with potential continuation as Project Engineering Manager through execution.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, develop feasibility studies, assess options, and prepare leadership packages to secure investment decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or another engineering discipline required; Chemical Engineering preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive capital-project experience in chemical, petrochemical, refining, advanced manufacturing, or similar.
• Proven experience leading feasibility studies FEL0/FEL1 and front-end project development for process facilities.
• Demonstrated ability to develop preliminary scope, cost, schedule, execution strategy, risk assessment, and investment recommendations.
• Strong understanding of lifecycle from business idea through FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, startup, and handover.

Responsibilities

• Translate business, commercial, and operational ideas into clear project objectives, requirements, assumptions, constraints, and success criteria.
• Lead feasibility studies, FEL0, and FEL1 for new facilities, expansions, technology deployment or transfer, major plant modifications, and reliability or infrastructure projects.
• Develop the project definition package: business need, feasibility study, requirements, alternatives assessment, preferred concept, project charter, preliminary scope, and risk register.
• Partner with Sponsor and Finance to validate assumptions and support investment case; prepare leadership approval packages.
• Lead alignment across functions and ensure disciplined handover at FEL2; remain engaged during transition.
