Job summary

McCracken Alliance is building an evergreen bench of senior CFOs to lead client finance functions on an interim or fractional basis across healthcare, biotech, medtech, manufacturing, and professional services in the United States.

You will work as a strategic partner to CEOs and leadership teams, guiding cash flow, forecasting, and capital planning with strong GAAP expertise and executive presence. This is a flexible, engagement-based opportunity with diverse clients.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive finance experience with senior leadership responsibility.
• Experience as CFO / VP Finance / Head of Finance (or equivalent).
• Strong modeling/FP&A capabilities; able to translate data into decisions for non-finance stakeholders.
• Solid accounting fluency (GAAP) and a practical, controls-oriented mindset.
• Executive presence; clear, concise communicator with operators and boards/lenders/investors.

Responsibilities

• Step in as the senior finance leader for clients needing strategic partnership.
• Lead cash flow strategy, runway planning, working capital optimization, and margin initiatives.
• Build and improve forecasting, budgeting, and KPI dashboards to drive decisions.
• Deliver board-/lender-/investor-ready reporting and decision support.
• Support diligence readiness, recapitalizations, financings, and M&A work as needed.
• Strengthen finance operations with close cadence, controls, and systems improvements.
