Job summary

Thompson Hine LLP is seeking a Manager of FP&A to join the Finance department in offices including Chicago. The role supports business planning, profitability analyses, and strategic decision-making across offices and practice groups.

The ideal candidate thrives in a data-driven environment and partners with CFO, FP&A Director, and Office Partners-in-Charge. Responsibilities include leading quarterly forecast processes, revenue/compensation planning, and developing self-service finance tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in business or accounting is required.
• CPA or MBA designation preferred.
• Up to 10 years of experience in accounting/finance functions.
• Experience in preparing or interpreting financial statements.
• Experience analyzing financial trends and variances.
• Experience in professional services with client interaction.
• Proficiency with Excel, Tableau, or Quantrix and large data sets.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint for presenting content.

Responsibilities

• Lead quarterly forecast process timelines with Finance teams.
• Prepare revenue and timekeeper compensation portions of forecast.
• Collaborate with Controller to obtain operating expenses and craft management presentations.
• Develop and manage Business Unit Planning goals reporting.
• Assist in Mergers & Acquisitions analyses when needed.
• Create self-service finance tools for other departments.
• Provide insights and analyses beyond finance to add organizational value.
• Maintain data sources for reporting and analysis.
