Job summary

Amtrak is seeking a senior financial planning and analysis professional to lead enterprise-wide financial analysis, annual budgeting, and long-range planning. You will coordinate with Finance partners and Executive teams to develop assumptions and provide timely insights for decision making.

This role can be located in Washington, DC or Philadelphia, PA and requires strong Excel and ERP experience, plus SAP BPC or Hyperion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline; plus 7 years of relevant work experience.
• MBA or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related discipline; plus 9 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between the departments' finance functions and finance leadership.
• Prepare and submit the monthly operating and capital accruals for the departments.
• Develop and coordinate inputs for the annual and multi-year operating budgets, capital budgets, and legislative request documents as applicable.
• Prepare and deliver regular and timely reporting, financial analyses, and other insights, and support the strategic financial planning and analysis process.
• Support the achievement of strategic goals and objectives by monitoring, analyzing, and reporting progress of actual vs. budget and forecast results.
• Assist with ad hoc analysis projects ranging in scope.
