Job summary

BetterUp is seeking an FP&A Manager to drive financial visibility and strategic decision‑making across the business. You’ll partner with VPs and C‑level leaders to inform forecasting, planning, and resource allocation in a fast‑moving, mission‑driven organization.

You will own end‑to‑end FP&A processes, build advanced models with scenario analysis, lead monthly forecasts, and design executive dashboards to translate insights for financial and non‑financial audiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of FP&A experience in high-growth SaaS or tech.
• Partner with VP/C-level executives on strategic planning.
• Advanced financial modeling and analytics with Excel/Sheets.
• Experience with FP&A systems (Abacum, Anaplan, Adaptive) and BI tools Looker.
• Deep SaaS metrics knowledge: LTV/CAC, Rule of 40, unit economics.
• Experience guiding transitions from single product to platform.
• IPO readiness or pre-IPO processes and investor-grade rigor.
• Experience enabling profitability through margin expansion modeling.
• Consultative problem-solving and executive communication.
• Experience applying AI/automation in finance/analytics.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted financial advisor to VP and C‑level leaders.
• Lead monthly forecast reviews and provide actionable insights.
• Monitor shifts and surface financial implications proactively.
• Own end‑to‑end FP&A: forecasting, budgeting, multi‑year planning, variance insights.
• Drive disciplined expense planning aligned with strategy and ROI.
• Build advanced financial models with scenario, sensitivity analyses.
• Partner cross‑functionally to align metrics, definitions, and reporting.
• Design executive dashboards translating data into clear narratives.
• Challenge assumptions with sound financial logic.
• Build scalable FP&A processes using automation and self‑service analytics.
