Job summary

Children’s Institute (CII) seeks a results-driven Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis to lead enterprise budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, and multi-year financial modeling in support of its Strategic Plan and North Star outcomes. The role requires translating complex data into clear financial insights for executives and the Board.

Reporting to the CFO and serving on the senior leadership team, you will partner with accounting, programs, and contracts to align planning,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of FP&A, strategic finance, or financial planning leadership.
• 5+ years leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
• Experience in complex, multi-funder environments (nonprofit/government).
• Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Own the annual operating and capital budget cycle with cross-functional coordination.
• Develop rolling forecasts and multi-year financial models for strategic decision-making.
• Establish forecasting standards, dashboards, and performance metrics for executives.
• Lead CQI initiatives to improve systems, data accuracy, and planning discipline.
• Partner with Accounting and Compliance to align forecasts with regulatory requirements.
