Job summary

HawkEye 360 is seeking an analytical FP&A Manager to serve as the finance partner for Engineering and key Program teams. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and program finance, developing detailed margin models and actionable insights to improve execution.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Mission Management, System Operations, and Executive Leadership to improve forecast accuracy, optimize resources, and support long-range planning in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of FP&A or related experience, preferably in tech/aerospace/government contracting.
• Experience in budgeting cycles, program financials, or Engineering program forecasting.
• Strong data interpretation and financial insight capabilities.
• Experience with program budgets, labor planning, cost tracking, or gross margin modeling.
• Ability to influence stakeholders cross-functionally.
• Proficiency with Excel; Salesforce/Power BI or FP systems is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Engineering budgeting and forecasting process for program level operational metrics.
• Own budget vs. actual reporting for Engineering and major programs, delivering variance analyses.
• Partner with Program Managers to build and manage program budgets, including labor planning, non-labor expenditures, capex, and reporting against funding profiles.
• Develop detailed gross margin models that incorporate contract terms, delivery costs, labor requirements, and program performance trends.
• Conduct scenario planning to evaluate revenue outcomes, resource needs, mission schedules, and program execution paths.
• Support Engineering leadership with financial insight into long term planning, contract structures, and the financial viability of new opportunities.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial packages for Engineering, Program Management, and Executive teams, highlighting risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
