Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP is seeking a Director of Financial & Strategic Analysis to lead the Finance team across multiple offices, including Washington, DC. You will drive budgeting, forecasting, and analytics, partnering with firm leadership to deliver data-driven insights that improve financial performance and strategic initiatives.

The role requires 10+ years in FP&A or financial leadership within a large law firm, with MBA/CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field required; MBA/CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of FP&A, strategic finance, or financial leadership in a large law firm or legal services environment.
• Deep knowledge of law firm economics and profitability drivers, including realization and matter economics.
• Experience supporting executive leadership with financial analysis and strategic decision support.
• Experience leading high-performing analytics teams and implementing BI solutions.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and financial performance management processes.
• Partner with leadership to identify improvement opportunities in revenue, profitability, and productivity.
• Develop financial models and analyses for strategic initiatives and resource allocation.
• Provide actionable insights to support management decision making.
• Lead implementation and adoption of data analytics and business intelligence tools.
• Develop executive dashboards, KPIs, and reporting for senior leadership.
• Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement across finance functions.
