Job summary

UC Irvine is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to partner with the SOM Finance leadership, leading budgeting, forecasting, and анализ of financial performance. You will sustain robust financial models, support clinical departments, and drive strategic planning across the medical center.

You will advise senior leadership on financial risks, develop long-range plans, and coordinate cross-functional analyses across multiple departments, with emphasis on accuracy and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
• Strong presentation skills with ability to translate complex data into executive presentations.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP or GASB, finance policies, practices, and systems.
• Ability to identify, collect, and analyze information from multiple sources.
• Expert ability to effectively present complex finance related information both verbally and in writing.
• Expert ability to use multiple spreadsheet and database software tools to synthesize and integrate highly complex financial analysis.
• Expert interpersonal and consulting skills at all levels within the organization.
• Expert service orientation, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail.
• Expert ability to use organizational skills to multi-task in a high volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead FP&A activities including budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Support financial planning and reporting for SOM departments and leadership.
• Model forward-looking financial reports and perform scenario analyses.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align resources with strategic goals.
• Develop new metrics, reporting processes, and insights to improve decision support.
