Job summary

The University of Chicago is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support university-wide decision making with financial planning, analysis, and benefit management. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors, investment banks, and benefits brokers to prepare budgets and perform analyses for the employee benefit pool.

Qualifications

• College or university degree in related field.
• 5-7 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
• Strong quantitative skills and demonstrated fluency with financial concepts.
• Experience with financial forecasting and modeling.
• Familiarity with GAAP financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Supports the development of financial reporting tools and analyses for evaluating the University's financial performance, plan, strategic projects and financing transactions.
• Maintains external databases including Oracle.
• Assists Treasury Director in preparing materials for Board meetings and budget reviews.
• Partners with Treasury Director to complete audit responsibilities related to the University's employee benefits program.
• Leads the annual budget for Finance and Administration and oversees staff benefit expenses.
