Job summary

CDM Smith Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to serve as a strategic business partner, guiding budgeting, forecasting, and project financial management. You will drive performance reporting and decision support across the organization.

You will help with revenue recognition, contract review, and client billing while building dashboards and analyses using Power BI and Oracle ERP. This role requires strong analytical skills and collaboration with leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree is required; related field preferred.
5+ years of finance, FP&A, or project accounting experience.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and performance analysis.
Knowledge of revenue recognition and project financial management.
Ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
Experience partnering with leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
Proficiency with Power BI and Oracle ERP.
Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

Provide financial insights, forecasting, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and business growth.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and long-range planning processes.
Analyze financial and operational performance, including revenue, profitability, project margins, resource utilization, and key metrics.
Monitor project financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations.
Collaborate with Operations and Project Accounting to support revenue recognition, contract review, client billing, and financial compliance.
Develop and maintain executive dashboards, KPI reporting, financial analyses, and management presentations.
Support financial controls, process improvement initiatives, and operational efficiency.
