Job summary

Southern Bank in Missouri is seeking a Financial Analyst to partner with Accounting, Treasury and senior leaders to produce actionable financial insights that support the bank's strategic objectives.

You will assist in annual budgets, rolling forecasts and monthly reporting, develop and maintain financial models for lending and deposit products, and pursue automation and efficiency in analytics to drive better decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or three years of related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working with large datasets; familiarity with SQL or other coding languages is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
• Prepare monthly financial reports including budget to actual variances and branch and producer profitability reports to ensure understanding of key drivers with business leaders.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial analysis packages for the executive team and board of directors.
• Assist in development, enhance and maintain detailed financial models for loan and deposit products, including pricing, volume, and profitability analysis.
• Complete regular and ad-hoc reporting as well as the preparation of key presentations and special projects as required.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives including growth and revenue initiatives, branch optimization, and cost efficiency.
• Support automation and efficiency improvements in financial modeling, reporting, and analytics.
