Northbound Search is partnering with a leading financial services firm in New York, NY to hire a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Consultant. The role centers on driving financial performance through rigorous planning, analysis, and reporting to support strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate brings 3–6 years of FP&A experience, strong modeling skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to cross-functional stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 3–6 years of FP&A or corporate finance experience.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
• Advanced Excel with complex formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling.
• Experience with ERP systems and FP&A software.

Responsabilités

• Lead and support annual budgeting, forecasts, and long-range planning.
• Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate performance, operating expenses, revenue trends, and profitability.
• Analyze actual results against budget, forecast, and prior periods, identifying variances, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare scenario analyses and financial projections to support strategic initiatives.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
• Develop reporting packages, dashboards, and presentations highlighting key metrics.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights into financial results and drivers.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and decision-making.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve efficiency, resource allocation, and profitability.
• Support business cases, headcount planning, and ad hoc financial analyses.
• Translate complex financial data into clear recommendations for finance and non-finance stakeholders.
