The Judge Group, INC. is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to join our food manufacturing procurement team in East Conemaugh, PA.

The role focuses on timely, cost-effective purchasing of raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and supplies to support production operations. The successful candidate will have strong negotiation skills, experience managing supplier relationships, and a commitment to maintaining a reliable supply chain in a fast-paced food environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Procurement, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in food manufacturing or CPG.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase ingredients, packaging materials, and production supplies.
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing requirements.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Operations, and Warehouse teams to ensure uninterrupted supply.
• Analyze market conditions and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Track supplier performance regarding quality, delivery, and service levels.
• Issue and manage purchase orders and ensure documentation.
• Resolve supply chain issues and expedite deliveries when necessary.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, regulatory, and company standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the purchasing process.
