Job summary

Krise Transportation, Inc. seeks a Fleet Asset Manager to oversee the lifecycle, compliance, utilization, and readiness of the fleet assets.

You will partner with Operations, Maintenance, Safety, Finance, HR, and vendors to support safe, reliable, and cost-effective transportation services. The role requires managing fleet technology, asset data, and reporting while ensuring adherence to district contracts and DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation Management, Operations Management, Asset Management, or related field preferred.
• Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in fleet, transportation, asset management, maintenance, operations, or a related field.
• Experience managing projects, vendors, budgets, and priorities across multiple operating locations.
• School bus or student transportation experience preferred.
• Experience with fleet-management systems such as Cetaris, GPS or telematics platforms, and Microsoft Office preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, state transportation, and student transportation requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee lifecycle of company-owned and leased vehicles and related fleet assets.
• Develop and maintain annual and rolling fleet replacement plans.
• Coordinate vehicle acquisition, leasing, deployment, transfer, redeployment, and disposal activities.
• Ensure district-specific fleet requirements, identification, and contract compliance are met.
• Manage spare vehicle strategy, cascade planning, and asset redeployment for utilization and cost control.
• Establish measurable fleet utilization KPIs and provide quarterly reporting.
• Maintain records for registrations, titles, insurance, permits, inspections, and documentation.
• Coordinate fleet readiness activities for school startup and contract requirements.
• Develop dashboards, reporting tools, audits, and corrective-action tracking.
• Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Safety to ensure standards are met.
• Plan and execute fleet projects with ownership, timelines, and issue escalation.
• Support procurement, cost tracking, capital planning, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Lead fleet initiatives supporting safety, reliability, and compliance.
• Continuously improve fleet policies, procedures, and service delivery.
