GLS is seeking a Financial Planning Specialist to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis across departments. You will monitor expenses, coordinate with Accounting, and drive cost-saving initiatives while collaborating with senior management. A bachelor’s degree in a finance-related field and strong Excel skills are required.

The role emphasizes analytical rigor, data-driven decision making, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Management, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of accounting and financial concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, data gathering, and analysis skills.
• Strong Excel skills; VBA or SQL knowledge preferred.
• High level of intellectual curiosity and ability to understand financial drivers.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain the department budget process; identify variances and present to senior management.
• Monitor monthly expenses with key vendors and identify issues.
• Collaborate with Accounting to book monthly expense accruals.
• Support vendor management with detailed financial analyses.
• Monitor spend on third-party labor and coordinate with IT on allocations.
• Identify cost savings projects with senior management.
• Build and maintain cost forecasts by department.
• Support budgeting process by providing insights on cost trends.
• Analyze headcount trends and allocate headcount by location.
• Ensure timely, accurate monthly reporting and closing.
