Job summary

SynthBee, Inc. is seeking a Financial Controller to own the accounting close, controls, compliance, and reporting for a fast-growing Collaboartive Intelligence startup in Pembroke Pines, FL.

You will manage GAAP-compliant policies, month-end close, payroll accounting, and tax/regulatory processes, while partnering with FP&A, People, and IT to scale the finance function. This in-person, full-time role offers a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including public + startup exposure.
• Deep working knowledge of US GAAP and ownership of the full accounting close.
• Experience designing internal controls, audits, tax, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own the full accounting cycle: GL, month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Establish and maintain GAAP-compliant policies and scalable procedures.
• Manage AP/AR, payroll accounting, and expense workflows with accuracy.
• Design and enforce internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity.
• Lead tax filings, audits, and regulatory compliance with external partners.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and board-ready reports.
• Oversee cash flow, treasury relationships, and data integrity across the finance stack.
