Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking an experienced Business Controller to join the Gas Services North America team. You will support accounting, forecasting, and reporting, coordinating with internal customers to improve financial performance.

The role covers month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, audits, tax processes, and budgeting. A Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance and 5+ years of experience are required; strong Excel skills and up to 5% travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience with multiple topics and tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, proactive problem solving.
• Willing to work overtime during month end as needed.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Engineering, and Field Service.
• Strong Excel skills; Alteryx familiarity a plus; travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Act as a member of the business controlling team, improving processes to aid financial performance.
• Support month end closing and reporting, including journal entries, EPM+ validations, and quarterly ADSTAR.
• Perform account reconciliations.
• Support quarterly and annual audits (KPMG).
• Support tax processes including annual tax packages, transfer pricing, and state sales tax.
• Forecast, plan, and consolidate budgets while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
