Job summary

The University of Tennessee Space Institute invites applications for a Financial Analyst in the Office of Finance and Administration. This role provides complex financial and operational analysis to support budgeting, planning, reporting, and strategic decision-making for UTSI.

You will collect and analyze data from multiple systems, develop forecasts and scenarios, and create clear reports and visualizations for campus leadership, using DASH budgeting and BI tools to improve decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, data science, mathematics, or related field.
• Three years of progressively responsible experience in financial or business analysis, budgeting, project financial management, data analysis, or related area.
• Experience analyzing financial and operational data to support planning and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and report financial, academic, research, enrollment, personnel, and operational data.
• Develop recurring and ad hoc reports for leadership, including budget-to-actual comparisons and long-range projections.
• Analyze revenues, expenditures, and reserve balances.
• Develop financial forecasts and scenario models for projected revenues and deficits.
• Produce and maintain reports using DASH budgeting, Power BI, Tableau, Argos, and Access.
