Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company in Hartford, CT is seeking a Manager, Financial Analysis to lead the preparation and presentation of financial reports for the Construction, Energy, and Marine (CEM) units. You will translate results into actionable insights and collaborate across teams to drive informed decisions.

The ideal candidate brings IPA/TM1 experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and a track record of coaching others while supporting strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or pursuing MBA with concentration in finance/accounting; CPA/CMA or comparable designation preferred.
• Experience with Financial Analysis concepts, principles and processes and accounting practices.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to consult on projects and present information effectively.
• Ability to influence team members and management.
• Strong data analysis skills with ability to interpret trends and provide insights to business partners.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through to ensure timely completion.
• Ability to think strategically and use judgement to resolve issues.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Financial Reporting Software (TM1/IPA, Essbase, Hyperion).

Responsibilities

• Prepare, evaluate, and validate financial and operational reports.
• Analyze and interpret trends and variances in performance.
• Perform testing and validation of data and analyses.
• Synthesize and present exhibits, results, and recommendations to management.
• Develop complex analyses to support business strategy.
• Participate in projects involving financial reporting changes.
• Provide coaching, training, and mentoring.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
