Manus in Augusta, Georgia is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to record, analyze, and report on financial activities. This role involves ensuring accurate accounting for production-related costs and financial performance while supporting the accounting department's efficiency through advanced tools.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting and possess at least three years of U.S. GAAP experience. Key responsibilities include financial data management, asset management, and regulatory compliance to drive effective accounting practices.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of work experience performing U.S. GAAP accounting.
• Strong understanding of Fixed Asset accounting.
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or relevant LLMs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Apply a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP across various accounting areas.
• Collect and manage financial data; prepare internal statements.
• Own the Construction in Progress and Fixed Asset Tracking process.
• Analyze financial trends and prepare financial statements.
• Manage month-end close activities and intercompany transactions.
• Develop recommendations to improve accounting practices.
• Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare external audit work papers and evaluate internal controls.
• Contribute to managing annual tax filings and payments.
• Provide monthly purchase card management support.
• Advance the adoption of AI tools to streamline accounting.
