Job summary

Harvard University is seeking an Analyst for the Office of Financial Strategy & Planning. You will partner with Schools and Units, analyze quarterly results, budgets, and multi-year plans, and support strategic financial questions for university leadership.

Responsibilities include delivering evaluations, synthesizing implications for stakeholders, and presenting options to senior leaders. A blend of analytical rigor and collaborative execution is essential for success in a dynamic university

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience.
• MBA (or other graduate degree) a plus; extensive financial analytics experience can offset experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and evaluate quarterly results, operating budgets, and multi-year financial plans ahead of executive engagement.
• Synthesize findings and communicate short- and long-term implications to stakeholders.
• Design and deliver presentations to educate senior leadership on options and trade-offs.
• Develop hypotheses and conduct analyses to respond to ad-hoc strategic questions.
• Support CFO/EVP/President with policy and planning initiatives; collaborate across central finance teams.
