Job summary

Harvard University is seeking an Analyst in the Office of Financial Strategy & Planning to advance financial management and planning for the University's Schools and units.

You will analyze quarterly results, budgets, and long-range plans, then synthesize findings for senior leadership. The role requires presenting options to executives and collaborating across finance teams in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience.
• MBA (or other relevant graduate degree) a plus; experience presenting to senior leadership is valued.

Responsibilities

• Analyze quarterly results, budgets, and multi-year financial plans for assigned schools/units.
• Synthesize findings and communicate short- and long-term implications to stakeholders.
• Design and deliver presentations to educate leadership on options and trade-offs.
• Develop hypotheses and conduct analyses in response to ad-hoc inquiries.
• Support CFO, EVP, President, and other senior leaders with strategic financial analysis.
• Collaborate with central finance groups to inform planning and reporting.
