Job summary

PPL Corporation in Rhode Island seeks a senior finance professional to partner with Grid and Field IT leaders, guiding planning, budgeting and regulatory support. Under minimal supervision, you will analyze financial results, prepare forecasts, and deliver leadership-facing presentations.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in accounting/finance or related field with at least seven years in finance, with MBA/CGMA/CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, management, economics, marketing or related field.
• Minimum of seven years experience in a finance related field.
• Preferred MBA, CPA or CGMA certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee rate case support across one or multiple jurisdictions.
• Oversee the development of IT and Innovation goals, objectives, and operating budgets.
• Solve complex business problems and analyze business results.
• Provide accurate and timely responses to annual operating plan and budget requirements, including financial target communication to line of business leaders, development of plans for full utilization of labor resources, identification of support function labor requirements, and preparation and delivery of leadership presentations.
• Oversee the planning and budgeting function, including business case development and preparation of capital governance documentation supporting capital project approval.
• Lead business partners in the identification and quantification of process improvements and lead the implementation of improvements.
• Oversee junior team members as they perform analyses of financial results compared to budget or forecast expectations by examining cost data, following up on major variances, and requesting explanations from appropriate functions/departments.
