Job summary

GATX in Chicago, IL is seeking a Senior Finance partner to drive financial performance across repair facilities. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and capital investment analysis, partnering with operations and the Fleet Maintenance team to deliver actionable insights and drive profitability.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, 8+ years of accounting/financial analysis experience, and strong analytical abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA or MBA with a Finance/Accounting concentration preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles; cost accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead finance partner for repair facilities and drive financial performance.
• Develop and enhance financial reporting, analysis and operating metrics.
• Translate financial results into actionable insights for operations and leadership.
• Use dashboards and analytics to communicate findings clearly.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and planning with facility leadership.
• Monitor capital investments and perform financial modeling for investments.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and related reporting and controls.
• Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A and Internal Audit on compliance.
• Oversee contract administration and real estate/property management.
