Job summary

Queensborough Community College seeks a strategic Vice President for Finance and Administration to lead finance, facilities, safety, and operations in alignment with the college’s mission and strategic priorities.

The VPFA will partner with the President and Cabinet, steward resources, and drive continuous improvement and transparency while prioritizing student success and institutional excellence. This role requires experience in complex organizations and a servant leadership approach.

Qualifications

• Progressive executive leadership experience in finance, administration, operations, facilities, or related areas within a complex organization.
• Ability to align financial planning and resource allocation with institutional priorities and goals.
• Experience serving as a strategic advisor to senior leadership and governance bodies.
• Record of building collaborative partnerships across diverse stakeholders.
• Success improving organizational effectiveness through process improvement and systems development.
• Experience leading high-performing teams with transparent, collaborative leadership.
• Commitment to advancing student success and a thriving campus environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership and oversight for Finance and Budget Operations and related portfolios.
• Serve as Treasurer and Board member of affiliated entities and represent the College on CUNY-wide councils.
• Collaborate across College leadership to advance strategic priorities and resource planning.
• Support procurement, facilities management, safety, and capital planning.
• Foster a culture of transparency, continuous improvement, and service across the organization.
