Job summary

Wabtec Corporation seeks a Finance Manager to drive financial excellence across treasury, compliance with SOX and US GAAP, and project accounting in a fast-paced environment. You will ensure robust reporting and a strong control environment while guiding a USA finance team.

You will manage month-end close, revenue recognition, and cost accounting, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize processes and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; or five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
• Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparations
• Experience with inventory, cost accounting, and WIP accounting.
• SOX control environment experience and cross-functional collaboration

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions within the Group and with Corporate Headquarters.
• Prepare G/L account reconciliations and resolve items within 30 days of month-end.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Assist with fixed asset accounting, capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking.
• Develop standard labor and overhead rates for inventory costing.
• Prepare weekly business metrics and management reporting.
• Support ERP and finance system initiatives and continuous process improvements.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the USA finance team and drive accountability and collaboration.
