Job summary

Advanced IT Concepts (AITC) is seeking a Finance Manager to lead core accounting and financial management activities, reporting to the VP of Finance. The role is based in Reston, VA with primary work location remote, offering full-time, salaried employment.

You will drive accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and internal controls while mentoring accounting staff and partnering with business leaders on performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Progressive accounting and finance experience with reporting, budgeting, forecasting, close, controls, and operational analysis.
• Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to prepare financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Lead core accounting and financial management activities and partner with leaders.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close, journal entries, reconciliations and financial statements.
• Prepare and present financial results, forecasts, and business insights to senior leaders.
• Collaborate on budgets, rolling forecasts, and cost models; monitor performance against plan.
• Support audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting; improve controls and processes.
• Develop templates, procedures, and training for staff on financial tools.
