Job summary

Rhaonline in Raleigh, NC seeks a Director of Accounting and Financial Operations to lead financial operations and ensure compliance with HUD regulations. This senior executive will manage financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting for several programs while mentoring the finance team.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with 5-7 years of related experience. A valid NC driver's license and a clean background check are necessary.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of progressive accounting or financial management experience, preferably in government, municipal, or non-profit.
• Drug testing, criminal background check and DMV check required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid NC driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Manage financial statements for the Housing Authority.
• Ensure compliance with HUD financial regulations.

Skills

Strong knowledge of fund accounting

Financial reporting

Multi-entity consolidation

Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Public Administration

Master’s degree, CPA, or equivalent certification
