Job summary

Compa is seeking a strategic, hands-on VP of Finance to join the leadership team and build a scalable finance function as the company accelerates growth. You will partner with the CEO and executives, shape strategy, and own financial planning, reporting, and capital strategy.

As a VC-backed Series B, you will design systems, manage treasury and controls, and guide fundraising while developing future finance leaders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience in venture-backed startups (Series A–C preferred).
• Proven track record building and scaling finance and accounting teams.
• Deep expertise in financial planning, forecasting, and growth modeling.
• Strong understanding of AI credits-based and recurring revenue models.
• Experience partnering with executives, and presenting to boards/investors.
• Ability to design scalable financial systems, processes, and infrastructure.
• Solid accounting foundation with revenue recognition and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Shape company strategy through a financial lens with the CEO and exec team.
• Drive data-informed decisions across product, engineering, GTM, people, and operations.
• Translate financial data into clear insights for investments, headcount, pricing, and resources.
• Own financial readouts to board and investors.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.
• Develop models supporting growth initiatives, M&A eval, and capital allocation.
• Partner on fundraising strategy and investor diligence.
• Monitor ARR, CAC, LTV, burn, and other metrics for scalable growth.
• Manage treasury, banking relationships, and working capital.
