Job summary

Grace Hospice MN is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to guide growth with strong financial insight and strategic partnership. The role collaborates with the CEO, Leadership Team, and Board to turn data into meaningful decisions that support patient care and organizational investment.

The position emphasizes budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and financial controls, with a focus on accuracy, automation, and actionable insights for leaders and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 5+ years in financial planning and analysis, accounting, or a similar analytical role.
• Healthcare experience in hospice/home health preferred.
• Proficient budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and GAAP knowledge.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Develop clear reporting for leadership and the Board.
• Build models for staffing, census growth, programs, capital needs, and initiatives.
• Own KPI reporting and pursue automation via technology/BI.
• Analyze benchmarks, reimbursement trends, costs, productivity, payer performance.
• Partner with clinical, operational, HR, billing, and leadership teams for data integrity.
• Support audits, Medicare cost reporting, vendor analysis, and controls.
• Translate complex financial information into actionable recommendations.
