Job summary

Beacon Software is seeking a strategic finance leader to partner with portfolio companies, shape capital allocation, and drive value across a growing set of software businesses. The role sits at the center of M&A, capital markets, and platform investments, reporting to the VP of Strategic Finance and collaborating with the CEO and CTO.

The ideal candidate will have experience in strategy, private equity or corporate development, with strong modeling, investor relations, and communication

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of post-undergrad experience in strategy consulting, private equity or finance roles.
• Strong academic record in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Investor mindset with ability to model and advise on capital allocation.
• Ability to synthesize complex systems and communicate with senior stakeholders.
• Familiarity with vertical market software and buy-and-build models is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Finance partner to acquired companies and drive value creation across portfolio.
• Own platform-level capital allocation including organic vs inorganic strategies.
• Extend strategy beyond core software M&A and lead diligence post-close builds.
• Lead debt strategy, support future equity raises, and prep for IPO.
• Build AI-native finance systems and scalable dashboards across portfolio.
