Job summary

Runlayer is hiring its first dedicated finance lead to own the operating model, monthly metrics, and capacity planning for a fast-growing AI platform used by enterprises.

You will drive ARR dashboards, revenue recognition, and the finance tech stack, partnering with sales on comp and quarterly close. Experience in investment banking or PE and FP&A in startups is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in investment banking or private equity, followed by 3+ years in strategic finance or FP&A at a high-growth startup.
• AI-native – you already use AI in your work.
• Experience at an enterprise sales company, ideally with infrastructure or usage-based focus.
• Strong financial modeling, driver-based and auditable.
• Experience managing accounting closes.
• Comfortable owning the entire finance function.

• Own the finance tech stack: QuickBooks, Ramp, banking partners, billing system, and integrations between them.
• Manage tax, revenue recognition, reporting requirements, and financial compliance.
• Manage the monthly accounting close with the accounting team.
• Partner with sales leadership on comp plans, quota design, and capacity models.
• Prepare board materials and support fundraising diligence.

This is our first dedicated finance hire. You\'ll own strategic finance end to end: the operating model, monthly metrics reporting, capacity planning, pricing and unit economics, and accounting & tax close.

What you\'ll do

What we\'re looking for
