Job summary

Samsung Research America is seeking a Lead, Financial Analyst to perform hands-on finance work, gather and analyze large data sets, forecast performance, and prepare plans and reports. You will support decision making and drive process innovation across the finance team.

The role requires 8+ years in finance, strong IFRS/GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and experience with SAP; Korean fluency is a plus. Base pay is competitive with annual bonus eligibility and generous benefits.

Qualifications

BS in finance or accounting or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
8+ years of work experience in finance or accounting.
Solid understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; strong business process understanding.
Excellent report-writing and communication skills; comfortable with management.
Strong project management; able to complete projects on scope, budget, and timeline.
Superior financial modeling experience; advanced Excel (Macro) and PowerPoint; ERP knowledge (SAP).
Fluent in Korean (speaking and writing).

Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis.
Prepare monthly and annual financial reports and present to senior management; provide insights.
Coordinate month closing and other financial processes.
Assist in budget preparation and monitor adherence to identify cost savings.
Develop financial models and forecasts to inform business decisions.
Manage finance projects and track progress toward goals.
Monitor key metrics and propose optimization solutions.
Collaborate with other departments to gather insights and drive best practices.
