Job summary

Samsung Research America in Mountain View, CA is seeking a Lead, Financial Analyst who will perform hands-on finance work across forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis. Qualifications

BS in finance or accounting or equivalent
8+ years of work experience in finance or accounting
Solid understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Excellent report-writing and communication skills
Strong project management and ability to meet timelines
Advanced financial modeling skills; Excel (Macro) and PowerPoint proficiency; ERP knowledge (SAP)
Korean language fluency (speaking and writing)

Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis
Prepare monthly and annual financial reports and present to senior management
Coordinate month-end closing processes
Assist in budget preparation and monitor adherence for cost optimization
Develop financial models and forecasts to support business decisions
Lead finance-related projects and track progress toward goals
Monitor key metrics and drive improvement across the organization
Collaborate with departments to gather insights and promote best practices
