A fast-growing, venture-backed enterprise software company is building out its finance function and opening a senior strategic finance seat. With a strong investor base and a growing roster of blue-chip customers, the business is at an inflection point and needs an analytical builder to put the financial backbone in place.

You will own strategic finance end to end, from the operating model and quarterly metrics to pricing, unit economics, and the monthly close, working directly with founders and executive leadership.

Key Execution Focus

• Operating Model Ownership: Build and maintain the core operating model across revenue, headcount, opex, burn, and capacity planning for leadership decision-making.
• Metrics & Goal Tracking: Run quarterly metrics reporting and goal tracking, and build live dashboards for ARR, pipeline, burn, and sales productivity.
• Pricing & Unit Economics: Shape pricing frameworks and unit economics for an enterprise model, with financial rigor behind every growth trade-off.
• GTM Partnership: Partner with Go-To-Market leadership on sales capacity, pipeline health, and growth strategy.
• Board & Fundraising: Own board materials and fundraising financials, delivering decision-ready packages for investors.
• Finance Function & Tech Stack: Own the finance tech stack, including AI tooling, run the monthly close, and build out the team as the function scales.
• The Foundation: 2+ years in investment banking or private equity, followed by 3+ years in strategic finance at a high-growth startup.
• AI-Native: Already using AI heavily in your own day-to-day work.
• Enterprise Sales Exposure: Experience at an enterprise sales company, ideally with an infrastructure or consumption-based model.
• Modeling Mastery: Driver-based models that are easy to audit and built for other people to use.
• The Builder: Comfortable building and owning a finance function from the ground up.
