Responsibilities

• Own the core corporate financial model across revenue, headcount, opex, and cash runway for long-range planning and forecasting.
• Define growth metrics and granular gross margin models accounting for compute and infrastructure costs.
• Partner with Go-To-Market, Product, and Engineering leadership on pricing, capacity, and expansion decisions.
• Deliver board-ready financial packages, underwriting models, and investor relations materials.

A rapidly scaling, post-Series B AI infrastructure platform backed by tier-one funds is carving out its inaugural Strategic Finance seat. Building the core orchestration layer that enables enterprise AI workforces to execute complex physical and digital workflows autonomously, the business is establishing this role to sit directly alongside executive leadership.

This is a high-velocity, high-impact mandate for an analytical strategist. Positioned at the intersection of corporate finance, unit economics, and long-term strategy, you will build the company's financial backbone from scratch, owning revenue truth, margin strategy, capital allocation, and board-level decision-making as the platform scales.

Key Execution Focus

• Master Operating Architecture & Forecasting: Own the core corporate financial model across revenue, headcount, opex, and cash runway to power long-range planning and rolling forecasts used directly by the C-suite.
• Unit Economics & Margin Strategy: Define key growth and retention metrics while establishing granular gross margin models that account for underlying compute and infrastructure cost drivers.
• Commercial & Capital Allocation Alignment: Partner cross-functionally with Go-To-Market, Product, and Engineering leadership to evaluate pricing frameworks, sales capacity, and expansion trade-offs with financial rigor.
• Executive & Investor Operations: Deliver decision-ready financial packages, board decks, and defensible underwriting models for fundraising, investor relations, and potential strategic transactions.
• Financial Infrastructure: Build out the core systems, data pipelines, and reporting frameworks required to maintain financial visibility as the company transitions from Series B toward growth stage.
• The Foundation: 2 to 5 years of total experience combining a foundation in investment banking, private equity, or equity research with strategic finance ownership in a fast-scaling tech environment (Series A to D preferred).
• Technical & Analytical Mastery: Exceptional financial modeling capabilities (Excel/Google Sheets) with strong fluency in SaaS and unit economics. Proficiency in SQL is required to navigate complex, unstructured data directly.
• The High-Grit Builder: Operates with high agency and low ego, comfortable navigating ambiguity and building functions from scratch without relying on legacy playbooks.
• Executive Communicator: Strong commercial judgment with the ability to distill dense financial analysis into clear, high-leverage recommendations for founders and key stakeholders.
