Job summary

Accordion is seeking a Senior FP&A professional to lead data-driven budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for our private equity-backed finance practice. You will partner with CFOs, PE sponsors, and operating teams to design processes and deliver monthly reporting packages.

You will build 13-week cash flow forecasts, leverage Excel tools like PowerQuery/PowerPivot, and train the FP&A team to maintain workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; MBA is a plus
• Minimum 10 years of experience at a top tier private equity firm, investment bank, and/or consulting firm
• Experience in FP&A and interacting with PE funds and PE-owned businesses is a plus
• High attention to detail and advanced quantitative skills, especially in financial modeling and valuation
• Proven ability to leverage Excel and PowerBI to manage, analyze, and present large datasets
• Transactional finance experience and understanding of operational finance
• Experience preparing reports, presentations, and memos; ability to present data-driven insights clearly
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team-management skills

Responsibilities

• Determine data availability and reliability and design a structured data aggregation process
• Collaborate with CFO, PE sponsor, and operating teams to establish KPIs and a single source of numerical truth via monthly reports
• Develop automated reporting processes for monthly Board and management packages
• Train FP&A team to run processes and forecast analysis tools
• Complete diagnostic deep dives to identify root causes in budgeting and forecasting
• Lead 13-week cash flow forecast development and coordination with departments
• Select and implement ERP solutions and build template reporting
