Job summary

Human Appeal in Irving, Texas seeks a Director of Finance to guide the organization's financial strategy, policies, and controls. You will lead day-to-day finance operations for the US and global offices, ensuring funds are managed efficiently and in compliance.

You will partner with the Senior Leadership Team to drive planning, budgeting, reporting, and risk management, delivering timely financial insights to support strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• CPA required; advanced finance certifications valued.
• Experience in nonprofit sector and international development.
• Familiarity with Salesforce, SAGE, NAVision is desirable.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operational management of the Finance department
• Provide strategic financial guidance as a member of the Senior Leadership Team
• Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing performance and risks
• Retaining constant awareness of the company’s financial position and acting to prevent problems
• Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis
• Conduct analysis to produce budgets and forecasts, and report on these at BoD and BoT level
• Ensure the financial compliance of the organization, in line with relevant legislation, regulation, and audit recommendations
• Oversee the timely and accurate processing and maintenance of financial data on HA computer systems (Salesforce, SAGE, NAVision)
