Job summary

Monsignor Slade Catholic School in Glen Burnie, MD seeks a Director of Finance to lead the school’s financial operations, oversee budgeting and forecasting, and provide timely financial reporting to the Principal, Finance Committee, and School Board.

The ideal candidate will bring a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, at least five years of finance or accounting experience, and proficiency with QuickBooks Online, FACTS, and UKG. This is a full-time, on-site role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of finance or accounting experience with responsibilities including reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, cash management, and internal controls.
• Experience supervising, training, and developing staff.
• Experience working with leadership, boards, or governance groups preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the school’s financial management, including monthly and quarterly reporting, budget-to-actual analysis, cash flow management, reserves, and investments.
• Lead development and ongoing management of annual operating and capital budgets and multi-year forecasts.
• Identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities and provide analysis and recommendations to the Principal and Finance Committee.
• Support tuition, staffing, compensation, programs, and long-term financial sustainability.
