Job summary

Sabre Industries, based in Sioux City, IA, is seeking a Director of Finance to partner with the management team and steer the company’s financial planning, reporting, and strategic initiatives. This full-time role reports to the CFO and leads accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and controls across business units.

The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of finance experience, CPA or MBA preferred, and proven leadership in high-performance environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required or equivalent
• MBA in accounting or finance is preferred
• CPA certification is preferred
• 8–10 years of finance and accounting experience with management exposure
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably EPICOR or Timberline
• Strong MS Excel and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies to support organizational objectives.
• Oversee budgeting (operating and capital), forecasting, and long‑term financial planning.
• Prepare financial reporting and monthly metric packages for business units.
• Oversee reporting of sales backlogs and project profitability.
• Lead cost accounting across jobs and drive efficiency improvements.
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors and ensure policy compliance.
• Develop forecasting models and KPI dashboards for management.
